Inside Sales Representative
Status: Full Time
Location: Brooklyn
Reports to: CEO
Job Description:
- Report to and work directly with CEO to sell Company’s web-based school management software applications and services to the K-12 education market.
- Use a consultative sales approach to turn prospects into customers.
- Respond to inbound calls from prospects and manage the sales process from inquiry through initial product demonstration and contract preparation.
- Manage quote creation, order processing, and respond to day to day prospect requests.
- Maintain records of all sales interactions using company’s CRM application
- Perform outbound calling to generate referrals from existing customers.
- Collaborate with and provide key support to CEO and field sales to close business and grow revenue.
- Sell to and service accounts via phone, web, and email.
- Use Company’s CRM application to maintain records of sales interactions; prepare sales forecasts.
- Participate in trade shows, conventions, sales meetings, and on-site prospect and customer visits.
- Partner with and support field sales representative(s) as required to close business for the Company.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated, results oriented with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Fast learner able to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, independent environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit; self-starter with mature and professional demeanor.
- Detail oriented-skilled at providing consistent follow-up and follow-through.
- Excellent presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Understanding of telesales; ability to take a prospect through the sales process and “Ask for the order.”
- Technically savvy; competent in MS Office, WebEx, CRM applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in consultative sales, preferably in the software or SaaS market.
- 1-3 years professional sales experience; successful telesales experience preferred.
- Inside sales experience selling software applications in the K-12 education market a definite plus.
- Ability to travel nationwide, approximately 2 to 3 days/month.

Customer Software Support Specialist
Status: Full Time
Location: Brooklyn
Reports to: Executive Director of Operations
Job Description:
- Provide primary technical support via phone, email and web for Company’s software products and serve as key business contact for assigned set of accounts.
- Take ownership of all client communications, respond to questions, and resolve open issues.
- Provide “Tier 1” technical support
- Troubleshoot software issues
- Respond to questions, run reports.
- Escalate unresolved issues in accordance with escalation policies.
- Maintain positive relationship with client through open communication and strategic support.
- Handle client issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and renewal business.
- Understand client’s unique requirements, utilization, and goals of the system.
- Work to maximize client’s ROI in their investment in Company’s products and services.
- Provide training and guidance via phone, email.
- Stay abreast of new development; present opportunities for account growth and new business.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers within client’s organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, CIS, Math, Computer Science or related field.
- Software savvy with ability to learn robust and highly complex software products.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, with demonstrated ability to follow through and resolve complex issues.
- Extremely detail oriented; highly organized; fast learner.
- Proven ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures.
- Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction.
- Team player.
- Outstanding communicator; highly articulate and professional.
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
- Database knowledge; SQL experience a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of documented success in similar role in the software industry preferred.
- Background in relationship building sales, selling new products and services into existing base, and building effective relationships with clients a plus.
- National travel estimated at up to 20%.
